Is nature a remedy for money stress?

Yes!

Being outdoors can help reduce money stress!

  • Outdoor activities like walking, hiking, and biking are natural mood lifters. When we feel better physically and mentally, we are more likely to approach money challenges with a clearer mind.
  • Being outdoors provides a change of scenery and perspective. It helps remind us that there is more to life than our money worries.
  • Spending time outdoors encourages us to live in the current moment. When we are focused on nature’s sights, sounds, and sensations, we are less likely to dwell on our financial concerns.
  • Outdoors encourage mindfulness and improve overall well-being.
  • Being outdoors also provides opportunities for social interaction, which lifts the spirits. Sharing a smile and a “hello” with a fellow walker makes me happy!
  • Best of all, stepping outdoors to burn off energy is free! Suppose we are blessed with a nearby walking path or local park. In that case, it is easy to take advantage of the opportunity to enjoy nature and forget a few money worries.

On a recent walk, I was overwhelmed with awe at the amazing colors of the sunset and the pools of water after the rain. It brought me joy and lifted my spirits!

A budget can also help with money stress. If you don’t have a budget, I can help!
